Large bonded screen, ordered. Thermal service for the GPU version. Battery under the deck; SSD accessible.
How Dell laptops are repaired
Dell laptops are among the easiest to service: bottom panels come off with screws, batteries and SSDs are replaceable on nearly every model, and Dell publishes part numbers that make ordering exact. XPS screens are bonded and pricier; Inspiron screens are inexpensive and often stocked. DC jacks on older Inspirons wear and are on their own cable. Alienware and G series run hot and need thermal paste and fan service after a few years.

How much does a Dell XPS 16 (9640) repair cost?

Same day when the part is stocked, and 3 to 5 business days when it is ordered. Board-level work and data recovery take longer; we give you the timeline before we start.
