Fixing a Moto G Power 5G (2024) without spending much
Cheap LCD replacement and a battery that rarely needs attention. IP52 only. The vegan leather back is bonded and does not crack, so rear repairs are almost never needed.
Screen replacement
The Moto G Power 5G (2024) uses a 6.7-inch LCD, which keeps screen replacement one of the least expensive repairs we do. Even a shattered screen is usually a same-day job of under an hour, and the digitizer comes with the panel so touch is restored at the same time.
Water damage
The Moto G Power 5G (2024) carries only an IP52 rating, which means splashes, not immersion. Sink and pool incidents are common on this model. Bring it in without charging it and we clean the board and replace what failed.
How it compares
Among the 2024 Moto line the Moto G Power 5G (2024) has a mid-size screen at 6.7 inches. By comparison, the Moto G 5G (2024) has a 6.6-inch screen, a plastic back; the Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) has a pOLED panel; the Motorola Edge (2024) has a 6.6-inch screen, a pOLED panel, an aluminum frame. Parts are not interchangeable between these models even when the sizes match, so tell us exactly which one you have when you book.
Charging port, cameras and buttons
A charging port that only works at an angle is usually lint, and cleaning it is free. A port that is dead or loose is replaced. Cameras, speakers, microphones and buttons are all modular on the Moto G Power 5G (2024) and are replaced the same day when the part is in stock.
Battery replacement
Phones from 2024 are now at the age where the battery is the most common reason a Moto G Power 5G (2024) comes to the counter. Fast drain, sudden shutdowns in the cold or a screen that is lifting at one edge from a swelling cell all point to the battery. We fit a new cell, reseal the phone and verify charging and battery health before you leave.
Back cover and frame
The back of the Moto G Power 5G (2024) is vegan leather, which does not shatter, so rear repairs on this model are rare. The camera lens glass is still a separate part and is replaced on its own when it cracks.
