Repairing a folding phone: the Motorola Razr (2024)
The cover screen grew to 3.6 inches this year and became the everyday break. Inner panel and hinge are in-house jobs with ordered parts. Two-cell battery across the halves.
Screen replacement
The Motorola Razr (2024) has a 6.9-inch folding inner display and a separate cover screen, and they are two different repairs at two different prices. Most drops break only the cover glass. A crease that turns into a dead line, a dark patch at the fold or a screen that stops responding on one half means the inner panel. We replace inner panels and service the hinge in house rather than sending them away; those parts are usually ordered, so allow 3 to 5 business days.
Water damage
The Motorola Razr (2024) is rated IPX8: water resistant when new, but with no dust rating. Grit in the hinge is the usual result. Water resistance also depends on seals that are broken by any repair, so we replace the seals when we close it back up.
Battery replacement
Phones from 2024 are now at the age where the battery is the most common reason a Motorola Razr (2024) comes to the counter. Fast drain, sudden shutdowns in the cold or a screen that is lifting at one edge from a swelling cell all point to the battery. We fit a new cell, reseal the phone and verify charging and battery health before you leave.
How it compares
Among the 2024 Moto line the Motorola Razr (2024) has the largest screen at 6.9 inches. By comparison, the Motorola Razr+ (2024) has the same body and parts layout; the Motorola Edge (2024) has a 6.6-inch screen, a pOLED panel, an IP68 rating; the Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) has a 6.7-inch screen, a pOLED panel, a plastic frame. Parts are not interchangeable between these models even when the sizes match, so tell us exactly which one you have when you book.
Back cover and frame
The back of the Motorola Razr (2024) is vegan leather, which does not shatter, so rear repairs on this model are rare. The camera lens glass is still a separate part and is replaced on its own when it cracks.
Charging port, cameras and buttons
A charging port that only works at an angle is usually lint, and cleaning it is free. A port that is dead or loose is replaced. Cameras, speakers, microphones and buttons are all modular on the Motorola Razr (2024) and are replaced the same day when the part is in stock.
Turnaround
Parts for this model may need to be ordered, so most repairs are finished in 3 to 5 business days. Screens and batteries for the most popular models are stocked as soon as they are available.

Questions
Motorola Razr (2024) repair FAQ
How much does a Motorola Razr (2024) screen repair cost?
We quote it after a free diagnostic and before any work starts, because the price depends on which part your phone needs. The Motorola Razr (2024) has two screens. The cover screen is priced like a normal phone screen; the inner folding panel is the expensive part. We tell you which one you need before any work starts. Every repair comes with a one-year warranty and our low-price guarantee.
What breaks most often on the Motorola Razr (2024)?
The cover screen. It takes the impact when the phone is closed and is the part we replace most on the Motorola Razr (2024). Inner-panel and hinge problems are second, usually after grit gets into the fold.
How long does a Motorola Razr (2024) repair take?
Parts for this model may need to be ordered, so most repairs are finished in 3 to 5 business days. Screens and batteries for the most popular models are stocked as soon as they are available.
Will I lose my data when you repair my Motorola Razr (2024)?
No. Screens, batteries, ports, cameras and back covers on the Motorola Razr (2024) do not touch your data. We only reset a phone if you ask us to, or if a board-level repair requires it, and we tell you first.
Can you fix the folding screen on the Motorola Razr (2024)?
Yes. Inner folding displays and hinges are the two repairs most shops send away. We do them in house at both stores, with the panel ordered as needed.
