Repairing older iPhone phones
Older iPhones split into two families on the bench. iPhone 6 through 8 and every SE use a Home button with Touch ID that is paired to the phone’s board, so we always transfer your original button; a replacement button would work as a button but lose Touch ID. iPhone X through 14 use Face ID, whose hardware lives in the phone body and survives any screen swap. Back glass on iPhone 8 through 14 is bonded to the housing rather than removable from the rear, so a shattered back takes longer than on a current model but is still a routine job.

Screen replacement
Screens for the common older iPhone models are in stock at both stores and cost less than current-model screens. We replace the full assembly so touch and brightness match the original, and we transfer any sensors the phone needs.
Battery replacement
On any phone more than two years old the battery is the most common repair. Fast drain, shutdowns in the cold, or a screen lifting at one edge from a swelling cell all mean a new battery. We fit the cell, reseal the phone and check charging before you leave.
Charging port, cameras and water damage
A port that only charges at an angle is usually lint and cleaning is free; a dead port is replaced the same day. Cameras, speakers, microphones and buttons are modular and replaced when the part is in stock. After a spill or a swim, do not charge it: bring it in and we clean the board, dry it and test every function before replacing only what failed.
