Repairing older ZTE phones
ZTE Blade and ZMax phones are big LCD phones with plastic bodies and no water rating, so screens and liquid damage are the jobs and both are inexpensive. Axon flagships use OLED screens, with the Axon 20 and 30 carrying an under-display camera that must be matched to the correct panel. The Cymbal flips have inner and outer screens and hinges we stock. Micro-USB ports on the flips and older Blades wear out and are quick to replace.
Models covered
ZTE Blade A3, A5, A7, A31, A51, A71, V8, V9, X1, Blade 10 and 11, Axon 7, 10 Pro, 20, 30 and 40, ZMax, ZMax 10 and 11, Cymbal T, Cymbal 2 and Cymbal U flips. If yours is not named here, bring it in anyway; if it has a circuit board, we work on it.
Screen replacement
Screens for the common older ZTE models are in stock at both stores and cost less than current-model screens. We replace the full assembly so touch and brightness match the original, and we transfer any sensors the phone needs.
Battery replacement
On any phone more than two years old the battery is the most common repair. Fast drain, shutdowns in the cold, or a screen lifting at one edge from a swelling cell all mean a new battery. We fit the cell, reseal the phone and check charging before you leave.
Charging port, cameras and water damage
A port that only charges at an angle is usually lint and cleaning is free; a dead port is replaced the same day. Cameras, speakers, microphones and buttons are modular and replaced when the part is in stock. After a spill or a swim, do not charge it: bring it in and we clean the board, dry it and test every function before replacing only what failed.
Turnaround
Most older ZTE repairs are done while you wait, in 30 to 60 minutes. Parts we have to order land within 3 to 5 business days.

Questions
Older ZTE repair FAQ
Do you fix the ZTE Cymbal flip?
Yes. Screens, batteries, hinges and charging ports are in stock.
Is a ZTE Blade worth repairing?
For a screen or battery, yes; they are among the cheapest parts we buy.
What fails most?
Screens, then water damage, then Micro-USB ports.
How much does an older ZTE repair cost?
Less than a current model in almost every case, because parts for older phones are cheaper. We quote after a free diagnostic and before any work starts, with a one-year warranty and our low-price guarantee.
How long does an older ZTE repair take?
Screens and batteries for most of these models are in stock at both stores, so most repairs are done while you wait, usually in 30 to 60 minutes. Anything we have to order lands within 3 to 5 business days.
Will I lose my data?
No. Screens, batteries, ports, cameras and back panels do not touch your data. We only reset a phone if you ask us to, or if a board-level repair requires it, and we tell you first.
