Fixing a TCL 60 XE NxtPaper 5G without spending much
The NxtPaper panel has a matte layer built into the assembly, so the screen must be the NxtPaper part, not a generic TCL LCD. Plastic body, easy battery. No water rating.
Screen replacement
The TCL 60 XE NxtPaper 5G uses a 6.78-inch OLED display that we replace as a complete assembly with an original-quality panel, so touch, brightness and color match the original. True Tone is preserved by transferring the original sensor data, and Face ID is untouched because its hardware lives in the phone, not the screen.
Water damage
The TCL 60 XE NxtPaper 5G has no water-resistance rating, so a spill or a dunk reaches the board quickly. Do not charge it; bring it in the same day and we open it, clean the board, dry it and test every function before replacing only what actually failed.
How it compares
Among the 2025 TCL line the TCL 60 XE NxtPaper 5G has a mid-size screen at 6.78 inches. By comparison, the TCL 50 XL 5G has a LCD panel; the TCL 50 XE 5G has a 6.6-inch screen, a LCD panel; the TCL 50 Pro NxtPaper 5G has a 6.8-inch screen, 3 rear cameras. Parts are not interchangeable between these models even when the sizes match, so tell us exactly which one you have when you book.
Charging port, cameras and buttons
A charging port that only works at an angle is usually lint, and cleaning it is free. A port that is dead or loose is replaced. Cameras, speakers, microphones and buttons are all modular on the TCL 60 XE NxtPaper 5G and are replaced the same day when the part is in stock.
Battery replacement
The TCL 60 XE NxtPaper 5G is still new enough that battery complaints are rare, but heavy chargers and hot cars age cells early. If it drains by mid-afternoon or shuts off with charge showing, we test the cell for free and replace it if it has lost capacity.
Back cover and frame
The back of the TCL 60 XE NxtPaper 5G is plastic, which does not shatter, so rear repairs on this model are rare. The camera lens glass is still a separate part and is replaced on its own when it cracks.

We keep screens and batteries for the TCL 60 XE NxtPaper 5G in stock at both stores, so most repairs are done while you wait, usually in 30 minutes to an hour. Parts we have to order still land within 3 to 5 business days.
