How Ubiquiti security systems are repaired
UniFi Protect systems are business-grade PoE systems, and failures are cable, PoE budget, drives and firmware. We reterminate and test cable, replace NVR drives, and manage adoption and firmware across the system. Business accounts get priority.
Compared with other 2024 models
The UniFi Dream Machine Pro Max is one of 4 Ubiquiti security systems from 2024 with a page here. Compare the UniFi AI Pro (type: PoE camera; resolution: 4K), the UniFi AI Key (type: AI accelerator; use: Adds AI detection to older cameras), the UniFi G5 Dome Ultra (type: PoE dome camera; resolution: 2K). Parts are usually not interchangeable between these models even when they look alike, so tell us exactly which one you have when you book.
Turnaround
Same day when the part is in stock; 3 to 5 business days when it is ordered. We tell you which before you leave the security camera with us.

Questions
UniFi Dream Machine Pro Max repair FAQ
How much does a UniFi Dream Machine Pro Max repair cost?
We quote after a free diagnostic and before any work starts, because the price depends on the part. Every repair carries a one-year warranty and our low-price guarantee, and we tell you honestly if a repair is not worth it against the value of the security camera.
How long does a UniFi Dream Machine Pro Max repair take?
Same day when the part is stocked, and 3 to 5 business days when it is ordered. Board-level work and data recovery take longer; we give you the timeline before we start.
Will I lose my data?
No. Screens, batteries, ports, keyboards and most board work leave your data alone. Drive replacements include cloning your old drive when it is readable, and we tell you first if anything would be lost.
